A Peculiar Existence LLC operates A Peculiar Existence. This policy explains what information this website collects, why it is used, where it is processed, and the choices available to you.

Information you provide

If you use the Contact form, we ask for your name, email address, a topic, and your message. Please do not include sensitive personal information that is not needed for your inquiry.

Contact-form and technical data

Contact submissions are stored privately in this site’s WordPress database through Fluent Forms. Along with the information you enter, the form system records ordinary submission details such as the date and time, source page, IP address, browser and device classification, and internal processing status. It may also create technical identifiers used to validate and manage the submission. The form does not send an owner notification or an automatic reply by email.

How we use information

We use Contact submissions to read and respond to inquiries, review corrections or factual issues, handle media requests, troubleshoot website problems, and protect the form and website from abuse. We do not use Contact submissions for advertising, sell them, or add them to a newsletter.

Cloudflare Turnstile

The Contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. The Turnstile widget loads from Cloudflare and evaluates technical signals such as IP address, browser and device characteristics, TLS information, the site’s Turnstile key, and the page origin. It produces a short-lived verification token that this site’s server sends to Cloudflare for validation before accepting the form. Cloudflare states that Turnstile does not access, store, or transmit the form entries or other page inputs. Learn more in Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Cookies and browser storage

The public site does not currently use advertising, analytics, newsletter tracking, or session-recording cookies. WordPress may use session storage for browser feature detection. Cloudflare Turnstile may use browser storage or cookies that are necessary to provide its security service. If you sign in as an authorized site editor, WordPress uses authentication and preference cookies for administration. The public site currently does not offer visitor accounts or a public comment form.

Fonts and external requests

Karla, Montserrat, and Butler font files are served from this website rather than requested from Google by visitors. On the current public pages, Cloudflare Turnstile on the Contact page is the only intentional visitor-facing third-party service request.

Shopping through Payhip

The Shop link takes you to the Peculiar School store on Payhip. Purchases and digital downloads are handled there, not on this website. If you follow that link, Payhip’s own privacy and commerce practices apply. Review Payhip’s policies before purchasing.

Retention

Contact entries are reviewed monthly. Our retention target is 180 days from submission. Entries older than 180 days are permanently deleted from Fluent Forms rather than left in its reversible Trash, unless a specific legal, security, or active-inquiry need requires temporary additional retention. Related submission metadata, details, logs, and scheduled submission actions are included in the deletion review.

Sharing and service providers

We may allow hosting, website-administration, form, security, and other technical service providers to process information only as needed to operate and protect the site. Cloudflare processes Turnstile signals for bot detection and service improvement under its own privacy terms. We may also preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, or investigate abuse. We do not sell or rent Contact submissions.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Children’s privacy

This site includes material for families and educators, but the Contact form is intended for adults. Children should not submit personal information through the form without a parent or guardian. If you believe a child submitted personal information unintentionally, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Your choices and requests

You may ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you submitted through the Contact form. We may need enough information to verify and locate the submission, and some information may be retained when required for legal, security, or administrative reasons. Privacy rights vary by location.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site’s services or data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
